January 2024 to December 2024
It is an expectation that learners attend 100% of all taught education.
Attendance on the first day of all multi-day events facilitated by the Faculty of Children's Nurse Education is mandatory.*
*If attending Paediatric Critical Care Level's 1 and 2, the second day is also mandatory.
Certification of attendance is only given to learners who attended 80% or more of all taught education.
Taught education takes place between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00. Breaks will be scheduled throughout the day. Further information can be found in your education event programme which will be made available prior to the event.
If a learner is unable to attend a study event they must contact the event facilitator or Faculty of Children’s Nurse Education before the start of the first session of the day. Learners must report their absence to their clinical work areas as per the absence policy of their specific departments/organisations.
To fully realise the module outcomes learners must undertake additional self-study to underpin the knowledge gained through taught days. This will ensure that learners achieve their potential from the education event. Additional self-study may include learners being given learning materials to take away to prepare for an upcoming session.
