Accepting an individual on to an FCNE event

It is the Faculty of Children's Nurse Education's (FCNE) right to decline attendance to one of our education events if:

  1. A person does not meet an events pre or co-requisites.
  2. A person has outstanding investigations related  to prior conduct on a FCNE education event.
  3. There is no availability on the requested education event.  Events can be limited by room size restrictions and facilitator requirements.
  4. A person or their sponsor have any outstanding debt relating to unpaid FCNE education events.  FCNE must be satisfied that any student or their sponsor will meet their financial obligations.
  5. 0.6 WTE 22.5 hours/week to meet the  theoretical and clinical components of the course. This can be something you discuss with your line manager and course lead with consideration to individual circumstances and flexible working.

 Reservations:

  1. FCNE can provisionally reserve places on FCNE education events. 
  2. It is a requirement that this booking form be completed and returned via email attachment to the FacultyOfChildrensNurseEducation@UHBW.nhs.uk a minimum of 12 weeks in advance of the FCNE administered study event. 
  3. FCNE reserve the right to re-allocate any provisionally reserved places if a fully completed booking form is not completed within the timeframe specified in a) ii. 

Cancellation Policy:

Should you wish to cancel a place on an FCNE administered study event, the person or organisation as set out in the invoicing section of this booking form will be subject to the following charges:

  1. 100% refund if the Faculty of Children's Nurse Education are contacted 60 days or more prior to the study event commencing.
  2. 50% refund if the Faculty of Children's Nurse Education are contacted 40 - 60 days prior to the study event commencing.
  3. No refund if the Faculty of Children's Nurse Education are contacted 39 days or less prior to the study event commencing.
  4. No refund if an attendee does not attend their booked study event.

Exceptional circumstances will be taken into consideration.  This includes personal circumstances whereby the student has sudden ill health or where they have prolonged caring responsibilities.

Changing an Attendee:                      

A sending organisation can re-allocate a student place on a study event to another person if they meet the following:

  1. A new student must meet all study event pre-requisites.
  2. A new student must have sufficient time prior to the study event to undertake all required pre-event work.
