    Hello, I’m Alison, I worked on the cardiac ward for many years in a senior nursing role before moving into the education team in 2019.  I have maintained a clinical role on the ward since this career progression which has helped me to stay current with cardiac nursing care as well as enabling me to provide bedside teaching, helping nurses to connect the theory with practice.

    I currently run the foundation cardiac courses, which are well attended, not only by cardiac nurses working in the children's hospital, but also nurses working across the Southwest and South Wales cardiac network region. In addition, I run an enhanced level cardiac course, contribute to other faculty run courses and stand-alone study events.

    Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, tending to my garden and practicing my skills with a bow and arrow at an archery club
